You Were Made to Go
Because He Lives, we live a sent life.
This Week’s Sermon
I'm so glad you're here. Whatever you walked in carrying today, I believe God has something specific for you in this message.
After the resurrection, Jesus walked into a room of frightened disciples — and the first thing He did was commission them. "As the Father sent me, I am sending you." That one sentence changes everything. Because when you understand how the Father sent Jesus — surrendered, purposeful, sacrificial — you start to realize what it means that He is now sending you in the exact same way.
A sent life is a moving life. Think about a fisherman — they don't anchor in the middle and wait for the fish to swim to them. They work the edges, go deep, try something new. That's us. Sent people are Spirit-led people who move toward the hurting, the anxious, the overlooked — not away from them. That's exactly what Jesus did for us.
And your story matters more than you think. Satan wants you to believe your testimony isn't enough — that you don't know enough theology. But Revelation 12:11 says they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. People can debate doctrine — they cannot deny a changed life. And that's why sent people sit with Jesus first. You cannot give what you haven't received.
John 20:21 — Jesus' commissioning word: as the Father sent, so are we
Matthew 28:19–20 — The Great Commission: go and make disciples of all nations
Romans 10:14–15 — The beauty of feet that carry good news to the world
Revelation 12:11 — Testimony overcomes: the word of what God has done
Colossians 4:5–6 — Wisdom in how we engage those outside the faith

Reflection
Here are the truths we carried home this week.
You are not just a church attender. You are not just someone who shows up on Sunday and pats yourself on the back for being here. You are a sent person. Jesus says so. And His commissioning word is not a suggestion — it is a calling.
Can I say something? "It's not meant to sit in our hearts — it's meant to be sent from our hearts." The love of God wasn't given to you just to sit there. You were filled so that something could overflow into the life of someone who desperately needs it.
Wherever God has you right now — your workplace, your neighborhood, your family table — that is your mission field. You don't have to become a missionary to live sent. You just have to be available. Sent people sit with Jesus, and then they go.
A Prayer for This Week
Let Your risen life reshape my heart, my mind, and my steps today.
Lord, I receive Your commissioning word today. I am not just here — I am sent. Give me eyes to see the people around me who are hurting, overlooked, and anxious. Give me courage to move toward them, not away. Help me to sit in Your presence this week so that I can carry Your peace wherever You lead me. I trust You to show me my mission field. In Jesus' name,
Amen.

What Do I Do With What I Learned?
Your Invitation for This Week:
Relational:
Identify one person in your life who needs hope and choose one specific way to show up for them this week.
Spiritual:
Set aside time this week to sit with Jesus and ask Him: "Lord, where are You sending me?"
Practical:
Share your story with someone this week — not a polished sermon, just what God has done in your life.
Communal:
Encourage a fellow believer who is already living sent — let them know you see them and what they're doing matters.
